information about this release and should be read before using the product.
For installation instructions, consult the Readme

System Requirements

Netscape Navigator 3.4+ or Internet Explorer 3+ to enable
Web Access feature. (System administrators should consult the Server
Parameters document for more information on setting up the Web Access
feature. The system administrator must ensure the offline sources path
is visible to the client workstation.
New features
added since CorporateTime 4.0
-
Address Books can be published on the server for sharing
with selected other users. A published Address Book can be renamed, modified
and deleted by its publisher.

Users can now sign in using their user ID.
-
New Web Access functionality allows users to launch an internet
browser to view product information. Browser can be launched by choosing
the Product Information menu item or clicking the Product Information button.
The location opened is configurable by the System Administrator.
-
Multiweek printing option.
-
You can decide whether to print Daily Notes and Day Events
when printing Monthly Agendas.
-
Significant performance improvements, especially when creating
Entries and importing Address Books.
New features added since CorporateTime 3.4
New Display Format.
-
Multi-document interface format replaced by a more practical
format where each view has its own separate frame.
-
The new toolbars have borderless buttons which have been
re-arranged.

More display options for the Agenda Views. Choose what information
you want to see (titles, locations, details, times, icons, etc.).

Entries you have refused can be hidden.
-
Meetings you have limited access to are so indicated with
a padlock.
-
Tooltips appear when the mouse is over an entry in the Agenda
or Notes View, showing you more information.

The current day is marked in red and highlighted in the Week
and Month Views.
Address Books
-
Address Books allow you to keep track of business, personal,
and professional contacts.
-
You can create as many Address Books as you need.
-
Easy-to-use two-panel View with folders and different sorting
and filtering options.
-
Ability to bookmark important Entries.
-
Fill Address Books by importing names from files, copying
Entries from one book to another or dragging vCard files. VCard objects
can also be copied and pasted from the clipboard.
-
Address book contents can be exported in numerous different
file formats.
-
Create up to 2,000 Address Book Entries.
Improved New Meeting Windows
-
New more user-friendly interface lets you invite people and
resources on the same page.
-
Selecting a name can be done by typing the first name or
last name only.
-
Group names can be entered directly.
-
First resource added to the list of attendees is copied to
the location field automatically.
-
New Reply page shows all the information a user needs to
make a decision.
Improved repeating Meeting editing
-
Edit any instance of a repeating Meeting, including adding
and removing dates or changing an instance completely, using the same Meeting
windows.
-
Changes can apply to one, some or all instances of a repeating
Meeting.
-
The list of dates only appears once the Meeting is turned
into a repeating Meeting. You can easily turn a one-time Meeting into a
repeating Meeting.
Right mouse button capabilities
-
Click the right mouse button to rapidly access the most frequently
used commands.
-
Change your reply using the right mouse menu commands.
-
Click an Entry with the right mouse button with holding down
the Control key to see who is attending a meeting and any associated details.
Improved Entry manipulation using the mouse
-
Click a Meeting to select it. Click it again to edit its
title directly without opening the edit window.
-
Press the Del key to delete an Entry you created.
-
Click and drag an Entry to move it to a new location.
-
Click on a Meeting's handles in the Day or Week View to change
its duration. Hold down the Control key while moving the handles to change
the time by smaller increments.
Other improvements.
-
End Time preserved when opening the New Meeting dialog box
by clicking a time slot.
-
New horizontal scroll bar in the Found list of the Search
dialog box lets you view more information about users and resources.
-
No need to enter "gr:" to select a group.
-
Reviewed menu command positions and names.
-
Simplified dialog boxes (Notification Preferences, Open Agenda,
Manage Groups, Import/Export, etc.) for easier usability.
-
New Daily Note and Day Event editing and viewing dialog boxes.
-
Selecting a week in the Month View switches to that week's
View.
-
Week numbers now displayed in the Week and Month Views.
-
A "Today" button appears in each Agenda View's Date Control
Bar.
-
Resource Designates and current user no longer included in
mail distribution list by default.
-
Designate windows now labeled name-first, allowing users
to better identify minimized windows on Win95.
-
You can now import a version 7 Schedule+ file into an agenda.
-
Single clicks now replace double clicks wherever possible
(e.g. one click on top of a day column in the week view will bring you
to the day view).

Improved user messages.

Multiple selection in the In-tray and Task View.

The click point determines the default start time and date
for New Meetings.

Reminders now show location field.
-
The position of the Notes and Task View now saved in local
preference file.

Warnings are displayed when creating or modifying past Events.

The Del key replaces the Control-Del key combination.

Improved Reminders, including a Reminder indicator on the
status bar.

Row Height settings now saved.
Limitations,
caveats, and known problems with this release
The dates for the Evaluation copy are as follows:
Warning message: April 30, 1999
Expiry message: May 15, 1999
The following problems and limitations have been reported:
-
Writing to a device that is not ready (e.g. a drive with
no disk inside) causes a Critical Error.
-
Clicking List Dates on the Repeating tab of an Entry
dialog box loses any date previously added using the Additional Date feature.
-
When printing an Address Book Entry using F11 or File
menu > Print Selected Entry, any Personal Notes and Notes are printed without
carriage returns.
-
CorporateTime may forget the file association of an Attachment
on the Details tab.
-
5536: There is no limit on the amount of suggestions
a user can enter in the Suggest Time/Date dialog box. It is not recommended
that you choose more than 15.
-
7050: The Display Conflict feature
in Meeting dialog boxes does not work the first time it is used.
-
7334: Row and column headings
are not saved when you change from one Agenda page to another.
-
9375: The default date is tomorrow
for a repeating Meeting created for today after 7 p.m.
-
9449: Contrary to the impression
you might get in the Access Rights dialog box, remote users cannot view
your Tasks.
-
9323: Users with Admin rights
and no Public rights for groups might not be able to see Admin groups.
Simply give the user Public Rights and click Refresh all to see the existing
Admin groups.
-
9424: Mnemonics in the New Meeting
(Alt+I), General Preferences (Alt+A) and New Address Book (Alt+B and Alt+A)
do not respond properly. It is recommended that you use your mouse to select
what options you wish to have.
-
9463: The message indicating a user
does not have the scheduling rights to invite a user does not appear. The
behaviour is correct.
