Disabling the ability to search for Event Calendars

Parameter: hide_eventcal

Description: Disables Event Calendar searches

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Default value: FALSE

Disabling the ability to make Agendas global

Parameter: hide_global

Description: Disables global Agenda viewing in Oracle CorporateTime for the Web.

Accepted values:

Default values: FALSE

Disabling the Task View

Parameter: hide_taskview

Description: Hides the Task View option.

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Default value: FALSE

Disabling the ability to manage groups

Parameter: hide_managegroups

Description: Hides the Manage Groups option.

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Default value: FALSE

Disabling the suggest date and time feature

Parameter: hide_suggestime

Description: Hides the suggest date and time feature

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Default value: FALSE

Disabling the show unconfirmed option

Parameter: hide_show_unconfirmed

Description: Hides the Show Unconfirmed Meetings option in the Preferences page of the web client.

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Hiding or disabling preference modules

Description: Hides or disables parts of the Agenda Toolbar.

Controlling display of the About box

Parameter: about

Description: Controls whether the About box for Oracle CorporateTime for the Web is visible to users, and if so, by what methods it is accessible.

Accepted values:

Default values: SHOW

Allowing users to download file attachments

Parameter: download_enable

Description: Allows users to download file attachments included with Entries.

Accepted values:

Default value: TRUE

Setting a maximum size for file attachments

Parameter: max_attach_file_size

Description: Sets the maximum file size for attachments included with Entries.

Accepted values: Any value in bytes

Default value: 409600

Allowing users to attach files to Entries

Parameter: upload_enable

Description: Allows users to include file attachments with Entries they create. If this parameter is set to TRUE, make sure that a valid value exists for tmp_attach_file_loc.

Accepted values:

Default value: FALSE

Setting a temp directory for file attachments

Parameter: tmp_attach_file_loc

Description: Sets the temporary directory for storing file attachments.

Accepted values: Any directory path

Default value: /tmp/swc/

[download_extension]

Setting file types for downloading attachments

Use this section to specify which types of files users can download. You must include a mime type for each file extension. For example:

.wav = audio/wav
.doc = application/msword
.txt = text/plain
.html = text/html

Optionally, associate a different icon for each file extension. If you do not associate an icon with a file extension, the default icon (paper clip) appears. For example:

.wav = audio/wav, wav.gif
.doc = application/msword, doc.gif


Note:

Make sure your icon paths are relative to your htdocs directory.

Enabling automatic sign-in

Parameter: enable_autologin

Description: The automatic sign-in option can be removed from the application by setting the value FALSE for the parameter. If this parameter is missing, by default it is assumed to be TRUE. For users who have auto sign-in turned on, the Auto Sign-in panel is still shown on the Preferences page even if you have set the enable_autologin parameter. If a user chooses to disable auto sign-in, however, the option will no longer be available in the future.

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE

Default value: FALSE

Hiding automatic iCalendar/vCalendar attachment

Parameter: showicalvcal

Description: Whenever a user creates, edits or deletes an Entry and chooses to send e-mail to other users, the user can attach Entry data in iCalendar and/or vCalendar format automatically. This option is displayed in the Preferences page and can be disabled by setting the value FALSE for the showicalvcal parameter.

Accepted values: TRUE or FALSE.

Default value: TRUE

Changing e-mail address

Parameter: modify_emailadd

Description: Allows the user to change his or her e-mail address.

Accepted values:

Default value: FALSE

Providing a list of possible sign-in matches

Parameter: userlist_login

Description: Provides the ability to display a list of user matches when a user signs in with a user name or initials.

Accepted values

Default value: FALSE

Displaying a server list for user sign-in

Parameter: serverlist_login

Description: Only applicable if you are not using a master node setup (parameter connection set to traditional under [system]). Provides users with a pull-down menu of server choices when they sign in to the web application. If you are using a master node setup, do not enable this parameter.

Accepted values:

Enabling a mini-calendar in the Agenda Views

Parameter: mini_calendar

Description: Enables a mini-calendar navigation tool that will appear in the Day, Week or Month View of Oracle CorporateTime for the Web. This section and its accompanying parameter are commented out by default in the webcal.ini. Uncommenting the parameter will enable the mini-calendar; you must then choose a location for the mini-calendar in the application.

Accepted values:

Default value: 1

Enabling wireless notification

Parameter: enable

Description: Enables wireless services in Oracle CorporateTime for the Web. If you disable this feature, wireless options will not appear on the Wireless tab of the Edit Preferences page.


Important:

To enable this feature, certain parameters must be modified in the Oracle Calendar server's unison.ini. Refer to Oracle Calendar Server Administrator's Guide for more information.


Accepted values:
