Limitations, caveats, and known problems with this release
Server (unison.ini)
- Setting the
FALSEhas no effect on the Notification tab of the Create or Edit Entry pages. (#001195)- Make sure that
[limits] resourceconflictsand[eng] allowresourceconflictsare both set to TRUE in order for CorporateTime for the Web to check conflicts. (#001963)Solaris
Due to a change in compilers, CorporateTime for the Web running on Solaris 2.6 or 2.7 requires the C runtime library libCrun.so.1. Before installation, you must apply the following patches to the machine on which CorporateTime for the Web is running:
Download these patches from Steltor's web site at ftp://CTimeTools:9483114@ftp.cst.ca/cttools/OS_Patch/
You must apply the same patches to the machine on which CorporateTime Server is running.
General
- When you generate a Repeating Entry with a first instance date that does not match the default date on the General page, the default date will not be updated to reflect the Repeating date. (#001838)
- You cannot perform e-mail searches if your system is using an external directory server. Additionally, you cannot perform an e-mail search if the e-mail address is mapped to multiple fields on the internal server.
- Dynamic HTML may cause display errors if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.5 or earlier on a Macintosh. (#001997)
- If you have stopped and restarted CorporateTime Server, you must restart the Apache Server. (#001996)
- You may experience problems when registering a new user while a node is down. (#001992)
- You cannot use the middle name to search for a user or event calendar with a three-part name (e.g. The Jenkins Arena). (#001991)
- Suggested Workaround: Perform a name search using the first or last name of the user or event calendar, or omit the middle name from your search.
- In order to find a user with a last name but no first name, you must type the name preceded by "*" and white space. (#001990)
- In a number of places in the application, the width of user names may affect the display of list boxes. (#001988)
- When a machine on the node network is down, CorporateTime for the Web will try to connect for a long period of time instead of timing out. (#001987)
- Suggested Workaround: If one of your server machines is down, take it off the network. If the server on the machine is down but the machine is still running, CorporateTime for the Web is not affected.
- Setting the
FALSEin webcal.ini has no effect on the display of iCalendar and vCalendar options in the Create or Edit Entry pages. (#001986)- Although there is no limit on the length of details a user can enter for a Meeting, CorporateTime for the Web truncates details to a maximum length of 32K. (#001917)
- Internet Explorer 5.0.1: The automatic sign-in preference is not saved until you restart the browser. (#001985)
- Non default-colors set in webcal.ini are not displayed consistently on the Printer-friendly format page. (#001964)
- HP using Internet Explorer: When serverlist_login is set to TRUE, the server displayed on the Sign-in page is always the first one on the list, not the last one you used to sign in. (#001960)
- AIX and HP: You must stop Apache Server in order to install CorporateTime for the Web. (#001956)
- Resources are not displayed in the Group View table if they contain special characters. (#001943)
- Designate Rights: You must give a user rights to modify at least one class of Entry. Otherwise, the user will not be able to work as a Designate in your Agenda. (#001931)
- If the parameter
userlist_loginis set toTRUEin webcal.ini, you have performed a search with multiple matches and your user name is not found, you cannot edit the field to perform another search until you enter an invalid password. (#001918)- If the value for your
init-start-delayis too small, you may experience errors when the listen queue is full.- The time zone reference table provided with this software has not been translated.
- The help page on wireless notification preferences documents the ability to snooze or queue wireless services. This functionality is not supported in CorporateTime for the Web 2.1.6.
FastCGI
- The
apachectl restartcommand does not always dispatch signals correctly.- CorporateTime for the Web will occasionally generate orphan processes that are not terminated automatically.
- Suggested Workaround: Grep for processes with a parent PID of 1; then TERM and KILL those processes.
- CorporateTime for the Web will occasionally fail to connect to the socket file and generate entries in the error_log.
CorporateTime for the Web WAP Edition
- If the calendar server changes and a user with automatic sign-in enabled tries to sign in, the attempt will fail. (#002058)
- Automatic sign-in will fail if you turn off your phone any time before returning to the sign-in page. (#002043)

- If a user has automatic sign-in enabled before an administrator sets the
autologparameter toFALSE, the option will no longer be available from Edit Preferences | Security. (#000082)- If you have set your name format to «Last name, first name», performing a search in the Group View based on "First name, last name" will not return any matches. (#00764)

- Sending e-mail notification to calendar users with no e-mail address will return an error telling the sender she or he has no e-mail address. (#00750)
- The web client does not remember the last server the user chose when signing in. It will default to the first server item from the pull-down menu. (#00739)
- Edit Preferences | E-mail notification: The option to send e-mail upon deletion of an Entry has no effect unless the user checks the appropriate box in the Edit Entry page before deleting the Entry. (#00738)

- Users without user IDs cannot use the Automatic sign-in functionality. (#00725)
