- New toolbars have borderless buttons
- More display options for the Agenda Views let you choose what information you want to see (titles, locations, details, times, icons, etc.)
- Entries you have refused can be hidden
Address Books
- Keep track of business, personal, and professional contacts
- Create as many Address Books as you need
- Easy-to-use two-panel view with different sorting and filtering options
- Bookmark important Entries
- Fill Address Books by importing names from files, copying Entries from one book to another or dragging vCard files
- VCard objects can also be copied and pasted from the clipboard
- Export your Address Books in a variety of file formats
- Create up to 2,000 Address Book Entries
Improved Meeting windows
- User-friendly interface lets you invite people and resources on the same page
- Selecting a name can be done by typing the first name or last name only
- Enter group names directly
- First resource added to the list of attendees is copied to the location field automatically
- New Reply page shows all the information a user needs to make a decision
Improved Repeating Meeting editing
- Edit any instance of a Repeating Meeting (adding and removing dates, changing an instance completely) using the same Meeting dialog box
- Changes can apply to one, some or all instances of a Repeating Meeting
- The list of dates only appears once the Meeting is turned into a Repeating Meeting
Entry manipulation and contextual help
- Click a Meeting to select it and click it again to edit its title directly without opening the edit window
- Click on a Meeting's handles in the Day or Week View to change its duration
- Right-click anywhere in the Time Slots for contextual help and editing options
Other improvements
- The End time is preserved when you open the New Meeting dialog box by clicking a time slot
- New horizontal scroll bar in the Found list of the Search dialog box lets you view more information about users and resources
- No need to enter "gr:" to select a group
- Simplified dialog boxes (Notification Preferences, Open Agenda, Manage Groups, Import/Export, etc.) for easier usability
- New Daily Note and Day Event editing and viewing dialog boxes
- Selecting a week in the Month View switches to that week's view
- Week numbers are now displayed in the Week and Month Views
- A "Today" button appears in each Agenda View's Date Control Bar
- Single clicks now replace double clicks wherever possible (e.g. one click on top of a day column in the Week View will bring you to the day view).
- Improved user messages
- Select multiple items in the In-tray and Task View
- The click point determines the default start time and date for New Meetings
- Reminders now show location field
- The positions of the Notes and Task View are now saved in a local preferences file
- Warnings are displayed when you create or modify past Entries
- Improved Reminders, including a Reminder indicator on the status bar
- Row Height settings are now saved
- If you wish to drag and drop an Entry in the Month View, hold down Shift and middle-click the Entry. Because this operation does not use vCal formatting, it functions the same way as rescheduling or duplicating an Entry normally
- Improved performance when informing the user of printing errors
- Improved performance in the Print Preview
Limitations, caveats, and known problems with this release
- Linux 2.2x: You may experience problems using the clipboard or dragging and dropping Entries.
- Administrative Groups: If you have Admin rights and you create an Administrative Group, you will not be able to view or edit the group after you create it. You can still include this group on a list of participants for Entries, and other users with Admin rights can view and edit the group. (#5554)
- Suggested Workaround: Set up two user accounts when creating Administrative Groups, one for creating Admin Groups and one for viewing or editing them.
- Drag and drop: You cannot drag Entries from one Agenda to another by middle-clicking. (#6242)
- Suggested Workaround: Use the clipboard to cut and paste Entries instead.
- Apply to all: Clicking "Apply to All" in the General tab of a Repeating Entry may reset your Reminder and Reply options for all instances of the Entry. (#6353)
- Download on Exit: Your Agenda will not download automatically if you choose to work off-line. (#6657)
- Suggested Workaround: Download your Agenda before going off-line.
- Notes View: If you change the size of your Week View, the notes section of certain days may appear in gray. Click on the appropriate notes section to restore the display. (#7009)
- Month View: In the Month View, you will always see declined and unconfirmed meetings even if you have set preferences not to do so. (#7033)
- Downloading Groups: Groups you have included for download will be preserved off-line even if you have chosen to remove them from your download. (#7051)
- Mail Distribution: You can exceed the maximum mail distribution number by adding a resource with many designates. (#7550)
- Suggested Workaround: Avoid adding resources to mail distribution lists if they have many designates.
- Download Only: Selecting "Download Only" from the "Reconcile, Cancel, Download Only" dialog box will erase any changes you have made in your off-line Agenda. (#7682)
- vCal Import: The application may crash if you import a vCalendar file with very large details. (#7744)
- Repeating Dates: If you have created a Repeating Meeting and you choose to delete your list of dates, all information about the Meeting except for title and details (location, participants, linked tasks) is lost. (#8415)
- Suggested Workaround: Create, edit or modify your list of dates before you add a location, task or list of participants.
Performance Issues: Off-line files
- Storing off-line files on a remote machine (i.e. not the machine on which you are running the application) may cause slow-downs when you perform certain functions (e.g. work off-line or work with an Address Book).
- Suggested Workaround: Store your off-line files on a local disk.
- CorporateTime will not ask you to confirm whether you wish to convert old off-line files to new off-line files.
- If you attempt to launch CorporateTime 4.0.3 with another user's off-line files from CorporateTime 3.4.4, the system will first update the files and then inform you they do not belong to you.
