Installing CorporateSync

To install this application run the setup program provided with the distribution and follow the on-screen instructions:

• In the single file package, the setup program is the packaged ".exe" file.
• On the cd-rom or floppy disk, the setup program is called "setup.exe"

Installing the product places files on both the local (desktop) machine and the hand-held. Both the desktop and hand-held components must be installed in their respective locations for this product to function correctly. After installing CorporateSync on your Pocket PC, you must perform a soft-reset to complete the installation procedure.

Synchronization settings are distributed between the remote device and the desktop application. User information, synchronization ranges, and synchronization rules for events, tasks, and contacts are both set and stored on the Pocket PC. The synchronization activity and the rules for conflict resolution are set and stored on the desktop PC.

Do not make modifications to your Pocket PC data or your calendaring application data while synchronizing. Doing so may result in loss of data.

To remove the syncronization application from your desktop run "Add/Remove Programs" is found in the Control Panel under Windows 95/98/2000/NT and select "CorporateSync for Pocket PC".

To remove the "CorporateSync Settings" control panel applet from your Pocket PC run the "Add/Remove Programs" which is found in the Control Panel on your Pocket PC device and select "Steltor CorporateSync Setup Applet".  The "CorporateSync Settings" icon will be removed from the control panel the next time the control panel is started.

Deleting and reinstalling the application will cause all Entries on both your hand-held and desktop to be viewed as separate Entries. Synchronizing will duplicate these Entries. To avoid this, reinstall CorporateSync without uninstalling it first.
