Limitations,
caveats, and known problems with this release
-
To use this product, please contact your system administrator.
-
Hand-held overwrites Macintosh: Information on your Palm organizer overwrites
Entries, Tasks or Addresses on your Macintosh is not available.
-
Address Books created using CorporateTime 4.1 or earlier may not synchronize
properly.
-
Suggested Workaround: If you have an Address Book you created with CorporateTime
4.1 or earlier, choose File menu > Address Book… > Backup…
in CorporateTime 4.2 to back up the Address Book on the server. Then delete
your local copy of the Address Book and restore it from the server. The
Address Book will now function properly.
-
The palm organizer does not have different time zones. Make sure the calendar
application time zone corresponds to the palm organizer's.
-
You cannot synchronize the palm organizer's repeating Events. You can,
however, synchronize calendar server Repeating Entries.
-
If you change a timed Event to an untimed Event, or vice versa, on your
palm organizer, the change will not appear in the calendar application.
-
It is recommended that you only synchronize the palm organizer with your
on-line Agenda. Synchronizing with the off-line Agenda can (and usually
does) cause duplicate Entries. See Appendix A of the CorporateSync 2.1
User Guide for details.
-
You cannot HotSync Address Book Entries when the calendar application is
open on your Macintosh.
-
Deleting all Address Book Entries on your Macintosh can delete all Address
Book information on your palm device after synchronizing.
-
Renaming the Address Book on your palm device can delete all current Address
Book Entries after synchronizing.
-
You can only HotSync one Address Book.
-
CorporateSync currently only fully supports English-language synchronization.
-
CorporateSync is unable to present a list of possible matches for duplicated
names. To avoid this problem, enter as much unique user information as
possible (e.g. organization unit, etc.).
Limitations
fixed since last release
-
CorporateSync 2.1.3 fixes an issue involving off-line synchronization of
Events and Tasks.
-
CorporateSync does not correctly transfer telephone fields from the palm
organizer. Area codes, extensions and long-distance codes are all synchronized
to the phone number field in CorporateTime Address Books. The corresponding
Address Book fields remain blank.
